The future of the bathroom. AXOR passion. The objective is to think ahead. Conceptually or product-oriented. No concrete specifications. Frequently causing a revolution in the sanitation industry. And on the design scene.

AXOR selects the top creative designers from a wide variety of disciplines and cultures. From architects to product designers. Learning from their perspectives. From the individual strengths of the creative thinkers. With the aim of establishing new technology and materials today. Startling. Invaluable. Perfection.

Designer duo GamFratesi.

Gamfratesi. A meeting of two cultures

A young, successful design duo: Danish woman Stine Gam (born in 1975) and her Italian design colleague Enrico Fratesi (born in 1978). For AXOR, they created “Zen” for the AXOR WaterDream 2016. A concept mixer made of bamboo. Designed to resemble a traditional Japanese fountain.

In 2006 they established their own studio. Based in Copenhagen. They are known for their minimalist style. Danish furniture and craftsmanship culture merged with an Italian conceptual feel. A combination of the traditional and the modern.

Designer David Adjaye.

David Adjaye. Star of the english architectural scene

David Adjaye: For the AXOR WaterDream 2016, he designed “Ritual”. A mixer concept with a new combination of materials, made of stone and bronze.

The British designer, who was born in 1966, has worked with leading architects. Including Sir David Chipperfield. These days, he takes on a pioneering role himself. In architecture, interior design, exhibition design and photography. His designs are considered highly unique.

In 2000 he founded “Adjaye Associates”. He maintains branches in London, Berlin and New York. Adjaye has edited several architecture books.

“Home of the Future” and “Loftcube”. Both Aisslinger’s internationally acclaimed visions relating to the future of interior design. And furnished with AXOR mixers. Closer contact was established with the designer for the AXOR WaterDream 2016. It was this that created the concept mixer “The Sea and the Shore”.

Werner Aisslinger (born in 1964) studied industrial design at the University of the Arts in Berlin. In 1993 he established the “Studio Aisslinger”. His clients in product design and for architectural concepts are the major furniture manufacturers, luxury and lifestyle brands.

Designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec.

Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec. The individualists of design

The freedom of the user. In 2005 this motto gave rise to their AXOR WaterDream. Starting point for the collaboration with AXOR.

Ronan (born in 1971) and Erwan (born in 1976) have been running their Paris design studio since 1999. A fruitful symbiosis of two personalities. Both a work philosophy and a challenge. They have worked for well-known manufacturers such as Vitra, Kvadrat, Ligne Roset, and Flos. Their works are on display at international exhibitions and in design museums all over the world, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the MoMA in New York.

Inspiration from the best up-and-coming designers

Ecole Cantonale d'art de Lausanne. The renowned University for Design and Art in Lausanne, Switzerland. Regularly among the top ten schools of art and design in the world.

AXOR provides a platform for up-and-coming designers on a regular basis. To work on concepts. To experiment with what they have learned. To enjoy freedom of design. For example, the AXOR WaterDream 2015. The resulting one-off designs, made of hand-blown glass, demonstrate ways of achieving greater customisation of mixers.
