Once upon a time, there was a hotel of the future
Located in La Croix-Valmer, Lily of the Valley is a dream of nature and freedom above the Mediterranean Sea. Called upon to imagine a paradise on earth, designer Philippe Starck created a hotel for guests to discover throughout the year—a warm and soothing atmosphere in which to relax and to find harmony. Its architecture, entirely imagined by Starck, is inspired both by Californian villas and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and the hotel’s original concept combines the best of French art de vivre with top-of-the-range wellness. An open, permeable space where light, colors and vegetation of the surrounding landscape naturally merge with the interiors, Lily of the Valley is a destination in its own right.
The sense of serenity and well-being at Lily of the Valley extends to the bathrooms and spa area, finished all in marble and flooded with light. For the fixtures, Starck selected the AXOR Citterio collection in classic Chrome. Influenced by Italian neoclassicism, AXOR Citterio features simple geometric forms and wide, planar surfaces that reflect the Provençal light brilliantly. At the washbasin, the monumental AXOR Citterio single-lever basin mixer is distinguished by its towering height. At the bathtub, the wall-mounted 3-hole bath mixer with hand shower, understated in its elegance, blends perfectly with Starck’s extraordinary interior concept, at once classical and contemporary.

By imagining Lily of the Valley, Starck has designed a hotel that does not impose itself on nature, but adapts to it. Encompassing a 2,000 m2 wellness center, swimming pool and two restaurants, Lily of the Valley is a haven dedicated to the harmony of body and mind, offering an ideal balance of pleasure and health, comfort and well-being.
