Enduring design meant to last a lifetime
AXOR products are designed to be updatable throughout their service life. Any required maintenance or repairs can be easily performed without special tools.
A consistency that is also reflected in the design. For nearly 30 years, the collaboration between AXOR and Philippe Starck has set the standard for timeless and minimalist designs that last a lifetime.
Collaboration lies at the heart of AXOR's mission
Ninety percent of our portfolio is assembled at the AXOR Centre for Excellence in Germany’s Black Forest. Here, AXOR products are created with a focus on excellent quality and craftsmanship throughout their production. As part of our promise of longlasting quality, AXOR offers an voluntary manufacturer's warranty*** and a spare part availability on all products.
Responsible use of energy
In 2022, Hansgrohe transitioned the electricity procurement at its international production sites to electricity from renewable energy sources. According to company calculations, this change reduced location-based Scope 2 CO₂ emissions by approximately 26,000 tonnes per year.
In addition, energy efficiency assessments were conducted at production sites in Germany, France and China to identify further opportunities to reduce energy consumption and associated emissions. Based on these assessments, several measures were implemented, including:
- The use of combined heat and power (CHP) systems and photovoltaic installations
- Optimization of peak load management, taking into account the availability of solar power
- The use of heat pump technology for heating electroplating baths at the AXOR production site in Shanghai

** Our water-saving technologies, EcoSmart and CoolStart, enable more precise and efficient operation with lower water and energy consumption. The water-volume-control that is used with EcoSmart technology ensures that no single drop is wasted. With this technology the faucet produces an air-infused jet without constraining the ritual of washing or showering. Depending on the product, the flow rate for AXOR faucets is between 4 l/min (EcoSmart+) and 5 l/min (EcoSmart), for AXOR kitchen faucets 6 l/min (EcoSmart) and for AXOR showers between 6 l/min (EcoSmart+) and 8 l/min (EcoSmart). The CoolStart principle is as simple as it is ingenious: Warm or hot water only flows when you really need it. You only call up the necessary energy when you actively move the handle to the left.
