From an architectural point of view the “ELSE-
Club” is from the outside in stark contrast with
its environment. It appears as if a plinth
was “pushed” under the high rise. A porch with a
silver sheet metal panel which protrudes a long
way over the façade, touching the ground on two
sides, gives a futuristic appearance, setting
itself apart from the rather modestly designed
façades of the building. The eastern and western
sides are generously glazed so that the
surrounding park-like landscape can also be
experienced form the inside.
From a central entrance area on the first floor,
individual areas such as a swimming pool, sauna,
fitness area and a restaurant are available. The
flowing transition from one individual area to
another gives a feeling of generosity, while the
closed off rest and intimate areas provide a
feeling of comfort.
The “ELSE-Club” is a place of wellbeing, an
island of calm and relaxation. In all of this the
guest is in close contact with the element of
water. This is also reflected in the choice of
fittings and showers. The architect Ulrich
Tillmanns comments: “We decided on the Axor
Starck collection because its minimal elegant
design, the ease of use and the high standard of
quality down to the last detail fit perfectly
into our design concept. Due to the
uncompromising minimalist design, the user can
concentrate entirely on the essential: the
contact with water.”
